My Story

Marie Verde is a history nerd and author of the fantasy series TALES OF ENDA. During college, Marie studied in Europe, surrounded by medieval palaces, towers, and a bridge with a secret passageway. The strange drawings she found in medieval manuscripts inspired her to create a world for these mythicals and give them fun, coming-of-age adventures. Growing up is hard for magical creatures, too.

When not designing new mythicals for her books, Marie enjoys painting watercolors, gardening, and reading. She lives in Texas with her husband and a cat she suspects is really a pooka. Learn more about loatrons and mythicals in the short stories and blog posts.
